The 45
A menu for my husband's restaurant project in culinary school. The 45 refers to the 45th parallel. France and Oregon both lie on it. French style with fresh local Oregon ingredients. Mmm. The logo was designed my me ;)

So it was my second trip to Oregon. I arrived at the airport hours before Patrick was due to get out of work and I had to sit in the little waiting area for hours. I did some school work, got bored, and decided to buy a book. Starting around 5:30 pm I kept my eye out for my Patrick. I finally saw him coming across the airport, smiled, stood up, turned and put my book in my purse, and was picked up and bear hugged by a VERY enthusiastic Patrick! He had run across the airport in record time. He had a pink tulip for me and as always he smelled fantastic.

Shelter
When I was in 2nd grade there was a program in Oregon to give second-graders their own little tree. It was to educate us about forests and along with our trees people came in to talk to us when they distributed the trees. The trees they gave us were the same kind you see them using for reforesting.
When I got home that day and showed my mom and dad we picked out a place in the yard where I would plant my tree. When I unwrapped it from it's packaging I discovered that I was the proud owner of two trees! I was so excited. They are both spruces but different varieties so they do not look exactly the same buy very similar. ...
